Twenty-two-year old Deleion Hypolite of Richmond- Hill, St George made her second court appearance on Friday last at the No.2 high court before magistrate Tahira Gellineau. She was granted bail in the sum of $60,000.00 with two sureties.
Hypolite was charged with noncapital murder following the death of twenty-four-year-old Kadeem Scantlebury also of Richmond Hill St.George. The twenty-four old was stabbed during an incident that occurred on Friday, July, 14th and he succumbed to his injuries at the General Hospital on Saturday, July 15th.
There are specific bail conditions that Hypolite must adhere to. This includes an order that she resides with her brother until the matter is finished, she must report to the Central Police Station Mondays and Thursdays between the hours of 6 am & 6 pm, must surrender all her travel documents, must not be in contact with any of the witnesses. She is also on a
9 pm-6am curfew.
A total of eleven witnesses are involved in the matter; however, eight of that number were present at the court hearing on Friday including the detective. The three absent witnesses were two civilians and the pathologist.
The matter was adjourned to November 24th.
