Lawyer To Seek Bail For Olint Boss

CaribWorldNews, PROVINCALES, Turks & Caicos, Thurs. Oct. 1, 2009: Will David Smith, the man behind the Olint investment club, be granted bail today?

His lawyer, Oliver Smith, is set to try today before the Supreme Court in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Smith has been jailed in the British dependent territory since Tuesday  after he was charged again in connection with the management of Olint TCI.

Smith was previously arrested earlier this year and charged with several counts of theft, false accounting and uttering false documents in Turks & Caicos.

He had been out on a US$1-million bail in the TCI following his February arrest.  Smith`s wife, Tracy, was also arrested on similar charges Tuesday, but was granted bail.
