The St Andrew Anglican Primary School Repairs 40% Completed

Forty percent of the work on the St. Andrews Anglican Primary School has been completed, say authorities there.

The step taken by the relevant ministries to undertake repair work at the institution prevented protest action that the school was planning, school authorities added.

The remaining sixty percent of work could be completed in about two weeks they assured.

The repairs to the school are being undertaken after regular school hours so that normal school activities would not be unduly interrupted. They include repairs to doors, windows, flooring among other areas.

This is work that should have been completed over the August vacation, school authorities said.

The Ministry of Education was fully aware of the repairs needed at the institution in time for the new school term that began in September but forced the staff and students to suffer two days of no school for the first week.

However, now that the repair work is ongoing the school authorities applaud the move by the ministry to undertake the work, which would ensure the safety of hundreds of students attending the institution.
