The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) has confirmed that several migrant vessels arrived in the Cayman Islands over the holidays.

The CBC said in a statement that on Friday, 23 December 2022 at approximately 10:00am a vessel with 19 males and one female came ashore in Cayman Brac.

Five male migrants chose to disembark and the vessel continued on its journey, however, hours later those remaining on board disembarked when the vessel arrived in Grand Cayman.

On Friday, 30 December two vessels arrived, one in East End and one in North Side at approximately 2:00pm with 16 migrants. Both vessels had six males and two females onboard.

Then on Sunday, 1 January 2023 at approximately 4:00pm a vessel came ashore in North Side with 10 males and two females and they disembarked.
