Keron Joseph a St. Andrew’s man is committed to stand trial at the next sitting of the high court in its criminal jurisdiction for the offense of house breaking and stealing.
The accused appeared before the Grenville Magistrate’s Court last Monday and was told by the magistrate that the prosecution had closed its case against him therefore he would not be appearing at the Grenville Magistrate’s Court again but at the high court.
He was told that he was not obliged to say anything but if he did say anything it would be written down and used against him at his trial, he said nothing, he was also questioned whether he was calling witnesses at that stage but he said no.
The accused was then told that having heard all the evidence against him, the court is of the view that there was sufficient evidence for a case of house breaking and stealing to be made out against him. He was placed on fifteen thousand dollars bail with two sureties.
