Barbados PM Alive Not Dead

CaribWorldNews, NEW YORK, NY, Tues. June 1, 2010: Barbados` Prime Minister is alive and well.

The country`s head of state, David Thompson, who is in New York for medical tests, insisted he is `obediently` following the advice of his doctors and is very much alive.

The PM`s statement came as rumors surfaced late Saturday night that he had passed away at a New York hospital. The news sent shock waves in some quarters as the email query made its rounds. But it was quickly put to rest.

The PM is slated to return to Barbados today and may resume a much reduced work schedule. PM Thompson had been suffering from stomach problems which necessitated the tests.
