Jamaican National Wins Gay Caribbean Pageant


CaribWorldNews,  BROOKLYN, New York, Fri. Sept. 25, 2009: A Jamaican national was the 2009 winner of the Gay Caribbean/USA Pageant, held this past weekend in Brooklyn, NY.

Mimi Mancini walked away with the crown after giving the crowd a jaw dropping experience in the talent segment, performing an impersonation of Dance Hall Queen Lady Saw.

In the swimwear section, the contestant left little to the imagination while Mancini`s presentation paid tribute to Dunns River Falls.

Second place went to Vanessa Flowers of Guyana who was a favorite in the swimwear segment as was St. Lucia. Guyana and St. Lucia were in a tie for best swimwear.

Frantica Boujourles of St. Lucia secured the third place while Barbados` Rehanna B. came in forth. Madame Fleur De Fleur of Martinique was fifth.
