More Money For NLA Employees

The Grenada Technical and Allied Workers’ Union (GTAWU) and the National Lotteries Authority (NLA) signed a Collective Labour Agreement at the Ministry of Labour on Tuesday April 5, 2016 after concluding negotiations over an eight (8) month period in a very cordial and amicable manner. 

The Agreement covers the period January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2016. The Agreement addressed benefits such as Joint Consultation, Occupational Health and Safety, Fair Employment, Redundancy & Severance Pay, Annual Christmas Bonus, Health Insurance and Rates of Pay among others. 

The workers will receive a minimum salary increase of about 20% for the period January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2015. 

Signing on behalf of the NLA was Mr. Devon Charles – Chairman, Mr. Geoffrey Gilbert – General Manager and Mr. Adam Andall – Director. Signing of the behalf of TAWU was Mr. André Lewis – President General, Mr. Trevor Xavier – 1st Vice President and Mr. Lloydon Francique – Chief Shop Steward. Labour Commissioner, Mr. Cyrus Griffith, from the Ministry of Labour witnessed the signing.
