Patriotism At Its Best In St Mark

Patriotism At Its Best In St Mark

On Monday 6th, the day before independence anniversary parents in St Mark joined pre-primary and primary school students, dressed in patriotic colours as they went about their activities.

The Grenada Informer team first stopped at the Samaritan Presbyterian Pre-primary and Primary Schools where students and teachers were engaged in putting final touches to their first ever individual classroom decorating competition which they followed with a march through the streets of Samaritan and surrounding communities with parents joining in.

The next stop was to the town of Victoria where the other pre-primary and primary school students, teachers, principals and parents along with the lone day-care and the Victoria School for Special Education marched through the streets, also beautifully depicting the national colours of Grenada, red, green and gold. There was singing and dancing to the sounds of patriotic songs played by a DJ.

The march concluded at the Alston George Park with an exciting cultural extravaganza put on by students of the various schools.
