Sherrie Ann Martin, born of Jamaican parents in the U.S., delivered the address at the 2009 graduation ceremony, where Admiral William J. Fallon, retired United States Navy officer and past alum, addressed the class of 2009 as the commencement speaker.

Martin is the eldest daughter of parents, Michael and Una Martin of West Chester, Pennsylvania.
