U.S. Lauds St. Vincent and the Grenadines On Its Independence Day


CaribWorldNews, WASHINGTON, D.C., Weds. Oct. 27, 2010: The U.S. is saluting St. Vincent and the Grenadines as it celebrates 31 years of independence from Britain today.

U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton, yesterday insisted that the U.S. will 1continue to strengthen the ties of friendship between our countries as we expand our cooperation on these and many other important initiatives.`

`Our two nations are united by a shared commitment to advancing democracy and human rights as we work to build a brighter future for all our people,` said the U.S. Secretary of State. `Through our cooperation in the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative, the Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas, and the Partnership Framework for HIV and AIDS, we are working to enhance the security and health of the entire region.`
